Tripod

Yesterday, I took my dog, Daisy, on our nightly walk. As usual she was barking at the other dogs, marking trees and street corners, and smelling everything in her path. As dogs are wont to do.

I was talking on the phone as we walked, so I wasnt paying very close attention to what she was doing. At one point she became very interested in exploring a patch of grass on the side of the road, I let her continue for a while. When I finally pulled her away from her discovery, I noticed she had a stick in her mouth. I thought this was cute, and just continued on home.

Daisy kept her find for the duration of the walk, and seemed to be quite happy with her new chew toy. I wondered why she was so interested in this stick, but didn't think about it for too long, she is a dog after all.

When we got back to the house, and near the porch light, I saw that her find was in fact not a stick, but a DEER LEG, including the hoof.

Needless to say, I didn't let her bring it inside, but she spent the remainder of the evening prancing around the backyard with a deer leg hanging out of her mouth.
